Vehicle breakdown insurance offers peace of mind in case
you suffer a breakdown or accident. You can choose your level of cover from
basic roadside assistance in the UK right up to full European breakdown cover
which will provide you with a replacement car, hotel accommodation and

The AA states that it has an average arrival time of 40 minutes, while RAC aims

European motor vehicle breakdown insurance is not the same
as or a replacement for your normal car insurance. Be sure you contact your
insurer and inform them if you intend to travel to Europe with your car. They
will no longer issue a "green card", but they will note the countries in which
you intend to travel and often will send you a form in various languages, which
will help should you be unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident. Your
insurance company can also confirm that you have the correct level of cover for
European travel.
