Can I book over the
telephone?
Unfortunately not. Our website is a portal offering a one-stop shop with
easy-to-access links to enable you to find and book every element of a driving
holiday in Europe. We are not resourced to deal with telephone enquiries.
Can I make last
minute bookings?
All the suppliers featured on this website have fully featured booking engines,
and it will always be clear how soon in the future you can book. But remember
that the earlier you book, the better your chances of getting what you want, and
the cheaper it is likely to be.
Does Drive-Alive accept pets?
Who is liable if
something goes wrong?
Drive-Alive only provides the Drive-Alive website, which is a portal offering
easy access to a range of holiday providers. Your contract and booking is always
with your chosen provider, not with Drive-Alive Holidays Ltd.
I don't yet know what
car I'll be taking. Can I still book?
Yes, when booking choose the sort of vehicle you expect it to be - standard car,
people carrier, etc - and enter a fictitious registration number. Then send
details of the vehicle as soon as you can to the transport operator. If you
choose the wrong type of vehicle e.g. standard car and the vehicle turns out to
be a high vehicle, there may be a surcharge to pay when you notify the details.
What happens if I
can't take my holiday for reasons outside my control?
Holiday providers are not responsible for cancellations or changes caused by
strikes, blockades or weather, and obviously not for cancellations made by you
because you can't travel (illness, family bereavement, etc). Read their
booking conditions carefully, and make sure you
have travel insurance to cover these events, or you could find yourself
seriously out-of-pocket.
Can you plan a
holiday itinerary for me?
Sorry, but no. This website and the associated
Route Planner helps you to plan every aspect of your holiday yourself. But
you must still make the final bookings by following the links we provide and
visiting the websites of your chosen holiday providers.
Does Drive-Alive hire
cars?
No, but we have partnered with two of Europe's best known, most competitive and
reliable car hire companies,
Argus Rentals and
Auto Europe.
Is Drive-Alive ABTA or ATOL bonded?
