DFDS introduce new ship to the route.
This new vessel to the route introduces improved standards of comfort and
refinement to your North Sea experience, and offers passengers improved cabin
and restaurant standards with significantly more public space on board.

As well as spacious comfortable cabins, there are no fewer than four eating
areas on board: three excellent restaurants; from the 7 Seas Scandinavian buffet
to the Blue Riband a la carte. In addition there are bars, cafs, a kids' club
and shops.
Accommodation must be reserved on board, even if only reclining seats. The
Drive-Alive Holiday Planner gives you the opportunity to choose the
accommodation which best suits your party and your budget. All cabins have
ensuite shower and WC as a minimum.

DFDS have a long and distinguished history of providing ferry crossings on the
North Sea. The comfortable ferry crosses in around 24 hours, allowing you to get
a good night's sleep on board before exploring the spectacular and beautiful
Norwegian fjords and mountains.
The Newcastle ferry port is actually in North Shields and easily accessible a
few minutes from the northern entrance to the Tyne Tunnel on the A19 trunk road.
All of the Norwegian ferry ports are within a few minutes walk of their
respective town centres.

During the summer months, between mid May and late September, the ferry leaves
Newcastle Wednesday afternoon and goes straight to Bergen, returning by the same
direct route on Thursday afternoon. At other times it calls at Stavanger and
Haugesund in both directions. So you can enjoy the cruise along the coast
between these ports which is a pleasure in itself.
Minimum check in is 2 hours prior to departure. Pets are not accepted on this
route.
