Le Havre is a large commercial port and industrial city, and although the
centre is reasonably pleasant for a night's stay, it's best seen as a convenient
ferry port for the P&O Ferries from Portsmouth. There's an impressive Hotel de
Ville (town hall), and efforts have been made to make the area between this and
the port tourist-friendly. If you're staying in Le Havre overnight, there's no
