Le Mans is best known for the 24 hour race held in the middle of June. If you
haven't booked well in advance, finding accommodation is a problem, although
rooms can usually be found further afield in towns such as Alencon and Tours.
But Le Mans also offers the attractions of a large regional city, and south is
the wooded countryside of the Sarthe, and north the beautiful rolling hills and
