Liege is a large industrial city, but has a fairly compact centre, so most of
its sights can be seen by foot. Head for the west bank of the Meuse, where
you'll find the three neighbouring areas worth visiting - the new town centered
on Place St Lambert where you'll find the Palace of the Prince-Bishops; the old
town below the citadel with its museums and lively Sunday market, and the island
