La Rosiere lies close to the zig-zag road
to the Little St Bernard Pass. On a sunny plateau with fantastic views across
to Les Arcs and Tignes, the resort links with La Thuile in Italy to offer
the San Bernardo lift pass. Children's facilities are good, and with
plenty of cruising runs to Italy as well as great off-piste skiing, La Rosiere
has plenty to offer everyone.
The nearest international airports
at Lyon and Geneva are both around two and a half hours drive away. The smaller
airport at Chambery is closest, about one and three-quarter hours.
Drivers should take the motorway to Albertville, the dual carriageway to Moutiers
and the main road (RN90) through Bourg St Maurice to La Rosiere, heading towards
the Petit-St-Bernard Pass (closed in winter). Chains should be carried in case of
snowfall. Driving time from Calais is about 8 hours.
The nearest rail station is Bourg St Maurice, 23km (45 minutes) away.
TGVs stop here with shuttle buses to the resort.
